Silia Ka Tung
Nasce in Cina nel 1974; vive e lavora a Londra dal 1997.
Artista multidisciplinare, Silia Ka Tung utilizza differenti medium espressivi, fra disegno, pittura, scultura e installazione, costruendo di volta in volta un proprio linguaggio sempre in bilico fra l’onirico e il reale. Ka Tung attinge alla sfera della mitologia e ai fenomeni del mondo naturale dando vita a un universo in cui paura e meraviglia coesistono, una dimensione irrazionale che crea la condizione perfetta per la contemplazione delle sue opere.
Silia Ka Tung ha partecipato a numerose esposizioni personali e collettive internazionali, tra cui la Royal Academy of Arts di Londra; il MOCA di Shanghai; il Creative Center di Osaka; The Rubin Museum di Tel Aviv; il Centro Design di Marsiglia e il Jerwood Space di Londra.

A multidisciplinary artist, Silia Ka Tung uses different expressive mediums,
including drawing, painting, sculpture and installation, each time constructing
her own language always poised between the dreamlike and the real. Ka Tung
draws on the sphere of mythology and the phenomena of the natural world, giving
life to a universe in which fear and wonder coexist, an irrational dimension
that creates the perfect condition for the contemplation of her works.
Silia Ka Tung has participated in numerous international solo and group
exhibitions, including the Royal Academy of Arts in London; MOCA in Shanghai;
the Creative Center in Osaka; The Rubin Museum in Tel Aviv; the Design Center
in Marseille; and Jerwood Space in London.
